Morgan County Recycling &
Transfer Facility

When landfill space isn't
readily available in the
immediate area, municipal
solid waste and recyclables
are often unloaded from collection vehicles at waste transfer stations and consolidated into semi trucks for
shipment to distant landfills and recyclables to market. These consolidated shipments dramatically improve the
efficiency of hauling waste, saving thousands of gallons of fuel and reducing wear and tear on public roadways.
Area Disposal Service, Inc. has built a new 9,100 sq. ft., environmentally friendly recycling and waste transfer
station, the Morgan County Recycling and Transfer Facility (RTF). Area customers, whether commercial, residential,
industrial or temporary, will enjoy the benefits of this newly constructed recycling and waste facility. In addition to
improving the efficiency of waste hauling, the Morgan County RTF will also provide designated areas for handling
recyclable commodities and landscape waste for the service area.
AREA is commited to providing cost effective solutions to solid waste management needs — now, and in the future.
